Get started with your first workspace
Create a workspace, launch your first board, pick the right template, and get QuicklyTask running on web and mobile in minutes.
Create a workspace that matches how you organize
Start by creating one workspace for the group, company, family, or organization that owns the work. A workspace keeps related boards together and gives you a clean place to manage members and billing later.
If you only have one active team right now, keep it simple. You can always add another workspace later for a different client, event series, or business unit.
- Use a workspace name people instantly recognize
- Keep one workspace per organization, not per task
- Create separate boards inside the workspace for each event or project
Create your first board
Inside the workspace, create a board for the real thing you are planning: a wedding, launch, renovation, school event, trip, or client project. Boards are where tasks, members, files, and updates live together.
Choose a template if one matches your use case. Templates give you a head start with sensible task groups and starter items, which is especially useful when the team wants to move immediately.
- Use one board per event, project, or engagement
- Pick a template when speed matters more than starting from zero
- Rename the board clearly so members know they joined the right place
Set the board up before inviting everyone
Before the board goes public to the team, add the first few task groups, due dates, and owners. This gives new members context when they join and reduces the “what am I looking at?” moment.
You do not need a perfect board before inviting others. You only need enough structure that people can immediately see what matters now.
- Add 5 to 10 priority tasks first
- Assign at least one owner for each important area
- Set the earliest deadlines so the calendar view becomes useful right away
Use QuicklyTask on desktop and phone
The web app is best when you are building the board, rearranging work, or reviewing lots of details. Mobile is best for quick updates, checking progress, uploading files, and responding on the go.
A good default is to set up the board on web first, then use mobile throughout the day to keep momentum without waiting until you are back at a laptop.
- Set up structure on web
- Use mobile for real-time updates in the field
- Keep notifications on for due dates, mentions, and join requests
